Projects
Our work sites
Landcare sites, Big Scrub remnants and constructed wetlands around Bangalow.

All Souls’ Stages 1 & 2
From Snows Bridge behind the Anglican Church, around the bend in Byron Creek, to the Bangalow Parklands.

Paddys Creek
Edie Franks spent ten years planting about a kilometre of rainforest along Paddy’s Creek. The Saturday working bee still keeps her living legacy.

Little Maori Creek
A 200 metre planting behind Cedardale Estate, later extended on both banks with help from the Green Army and Bangalow Koalas.

Potter’s Maori Creek Junction
One of the first projects: 3,500 trees on a hectare at the junction of Maori and Byron Creeks, handed back to the landowner once the job was done.

Bangalow Sportsfield
The public riverwalk: from the highway near the bowling club to Snow’s Bridge, planted, pathed, and still maintained by the Saturday working bee.

The Importance of Bangalow Wetlands
A treatment wetland in Deacon Street, built with Byron Shire Council to catch Bangalow’s stormwater before it reaches Byron Creek.

Herrmann’s Planting
Beside the Bangalow Pool. Stage 1 reached canopy in three years. Stage 2 put more than 3,000 trees along Byron Creek.
